Five values run everything I do, in my salons and in my coaching: perseverance, accountability, loyalty, fortitude, and initiative. We persevere, we own it, we stay loyal, we grow through it, and we go first. These are not words on a wall. They are the standard I hold myself to before I ever ask it of a team.
Perseverance
You execute regardless of how you feel, and you believe you will get there before you can see it. Discipline is the engine. Belief is the fuel. Most owners quit right before the thing they built starts to work. The ones who win keep showing up on the days they do not feel like it.
Accountability
You own the outcome, and you set the standard with your own behavior first. When something breaks in your salon, it is yours. Not your team's, not the market's, not the economy's. Leading by example is just accountability other people can see. If you want a team that takes ownership, you go first.
Loyalty
You put the team before yourself, and you build the kind of relationships people want to fight for. Selflessness is loyalty in action. The salons that keep their best people are not the ones that pay the most. They are the ones where people feel like they belong to something worth protecting.
Fortitude
You meet every obstacle as a teacher, stay coachable, and pull the lesson out of every hit. Humility is what keeps you learning. The day you think you have it all figured out is the day you stop growing. Nothing is wasted. Every bad month and every mistake is tuition. Pay attention and it pays you back.
Initiative
You move before you are told, you do more than the minimum, and you bring energy that lifts everyone around you. This is the one that separates the people who wait from the people who lead. Nobody is going to hand you the business you want. You go get it.
